About
My manuscript evaluations are honest and thoughtful "appraisals" of your work.Â
This work implies:
Reading the whole manuscript, twice.
Doing a macro-level review (what works, what doesn’t, what is missing and could be added, what can be taken out and used as a different type of content, and above all, if the story delivers and will compel an audience to buy the book)
A report, broken down by chapter, with recommendations on what to do next (self-publish or pitch to agents/publishing houses, or for submissions)
A 30 min post-evaluation consultation call, within one month of me delivering the report to you, to discuss my editorial notes or how to move forward
My work on a manuscript evaluation does not include editing or correcting the manuscript itself. I may occasionally add comments to highlight areas mentioned in my editorial report.
Rates vary depending on wordcount and timeline. To get an idea of what it is like to work with me, see what my clients have to say on my testimonials page.
*Empathetic Editor Note: if you'd really like to work with me but don't have a budget yet, reach out to me for a courtesy call where we can arrange for a payment plan that works for both of us.
